Illustration in Practice
Second semester begins: This project runs for 12 weeks and the task is to respond to a brief that is in physical existence. I have already decided that I would like to respond to a brief by creative conscious.
Time Table
Last semester one of my biggest challenges was time management, so this semester I have devised an extensive time table with the intention to maximise my creative output.
Selected brief: Creative Conscious - Open Brief
The brief
I wish to respond to the open brief, in context to my current home town, Middlesbrough. I am interested in the use of integrating street art into the area in the hopes that it will inspire creativity and bring Middlesbrough up the charts with its neighbouring cities.
Research
Topics I aim to research include:
1. Case Study: Blank wall assassins (Carlisle).
2.Case Study: Mul draws (Newcastle).
3. Case Study: Existing creativity within Middlesbrough (Middlesbrough art map, Emma Bennett: carpark stairway. (https://www.wearemiddlesbrough.com/things-to-do/arts-museums-things-to-do/public-art/).

Visual Inspiration
Mul Draws (Newcastle)
Alex Mulholland created its "just a bit of colour, a bit of fun" in the Quayside in Newcastle.
Blank Wall Assassin (Carlisle)
'The blank wall Assassins' are a duo group who create opportunity for artists all over the world to bring their brilliant works to Carlisle city centre. There is a virtual map that can be used to do a physical tour of the street art so the individuals can walk around to find them and see them in the flesh.
